What is a consignment sale? 

A consignment sale is an event in which parents price and sell their children's outgrown items,  and place them on a sale floor with other consignors' items. Little Light organizes and advertises this even and each consignor receives a portion of their sales

 

Who can consign?

Anyone can consign their items and everyone is welcome! Consigning offers you the ability to earn more than what a consignment store can offer. it's less work than conducting your own garage sale and a hassle/haggie free way from selling items online.

How do I become a consignor?

Consigning is easy! We use an online system where you’ll register as a consignor, pay a small registration fee, and enter your items for sale. Once you’ve entered your items, you’ll print tags and prepare everything for drop-off. We’ll provide step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process.

Do I have to be present to sell my stuff?

Nope! Once you drop your items off, you are good to go; however, we would love for you to come back and shop with us during our sale.

What can I sell?

We accept gently used children’s clothing, shoes, toys, books, baby gear, maternity and more! Items must be clean, in good condition, and meet current safety standards. We’ll provide a full list of accepted and prohibited items.

What brands do you accept? 

We accept ALL BRANDS! We just ask that it be free on stains, holes, and excessive wear (piling).

Who prices the items?

You do! We do have guidelines to help you maximize your profits. â€‹

What percentage do I make?

As a consignor, you'll earn 65-75% of your sales.

• Earn 65% - Just consign your Items. no crew shift required.

• Earn 70% - Consign and sign up for 1 little light crew shift.

• Earn 75% - Consign and sign up for 2 little light crew shifts.

Crew shifts helps the sale run smoothly, and It comes with great perks-Including more cash in your pocket and early shopping access!

What is the consignor fee?

A $12 consignor fee is due at the time of registration to help cover event costs like venue rental, marketing, and supplies. This fee is non refundable and guarantees your spot as a consignor. This fee is per consignor number, not per item-and you'll still keep 65-75% of your total sales!

How and when do I get paid?

Consignor earnings will be sent out within one week after the end of the sale. Checks are sent via e-check. which allows you to print your check at home and cash or deposit.

How many items can l enter?

There is minimum or maximum of items for our Fall 2025 sale. 

I have always found that i have more than I think i do! And once the sale Is over 1 always wish i would have

entered more because more Items = more money!

Hew do I enter my items?

We use an online system for tagging. The same site you use to sign up to consign is the same place you will enter your Items. You'll create tags with item descriptions and prices, then print on white card stock and attach them securely with safety pins or tagging guns.

How should I price my items?

Most items sell best when priced around 25-50% of the original retail price. High-quality brands, new-with-tags items, and big ticket items (like swings and strollers) can sometimes fetch a bit more.

Can I see what I've sold during the sale? 

Yes! At the end of each sale day, you'll be able to log in to your consignor account to see which items have sold. 

 

What happens to my unsold items?

When entering your items for the sale, you’ll have the option to select ‘donate.’ This is completely optional. Donated items will be given to local community partners, while any items not marked for donation will be available for pick-up at a designated time after the sale ends.
